i used to think that love was something spontaneous, something that i could never plan out.
but then i realized that love goes through stages.
the stage where your love is blooming, coming up out of the ground into the world.
the stage where you both believe how you can't live without each other, that you need to be with each other every waking moment there is.
the stage where you finally profess your love for each other and comes into full force with the world.
the stage when things don't seem as rosy as they used to, when he doesn't make you smile like you used to. when you don't feel the swarm of butterflies in your stomach and the frog in your throat when you get around them, because you're so nervous.
the stage when you realize what it is that you actually got yourself into.
the stage when the love you thought was invincible and couldn't be touched like you and him.
the stage when the walls around the both of you start to finally fall and crumble.
the stage when you can't even stand to be around each other.
the stage when you can't even look at him without feeling the hurt he caused because you're filled with thorns that cause you pain.
the stage when you both part and don't even look back.
the stage when the roses he gave you the first day you met, finally die and the petals one by one fall on the floor.
